The 10th match of the 2020 ACC Western Region T20 in Group A will be played between Oman and Maldives at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket (Ministry Turf 1).
The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (5:30 AM GMT) (11:00 PM IST).
Oman registered a thumping victory in their opening game against Bahrain by eight wickets. They looked pretty balanced with players performing well in every respective department of the game. Now, in the upcoming clash, they will be aiming to outclass the Maldives with sheer dominance and improve their chances of qualifying into the further stage of the tournament.
Maldives have not won a single game until now in ACC Western Region T20. They are expected to come up with some improved performances in the upcoming clash to keep their semi-final hopes alive. It is going to be a tough outing for the Maldives against in-form Oman. But, they are quite capable of knocking them down due to the presence of some exciting players in their arsenal.
The weather forecast says that it is going to be a perfect day for a cricket match with no chances of rain. The wind will be blowing at a rate of 11 to 22 km/hr whereas the temperature will deviate between 22 and 28 Degree Celsius throughout the day according to Accuweather.
The Ministry Turf 1 is expected to go in the favour of the fast bowlers in the first few overs. And, if they failed to take advantage of the same then their side might end up losing the game. In the second half, the batsmen are expected to dominate with bowlers having very little much to do. The side batting first has to score around 160 runs otherwise they suffer a defeat on this ground.
Average first innings score: 171 (Last 6 T20 matches played in the morning)
