The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Today India played 1st game of the five-match T20I series against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland. Virat Kohli and Co. registered a convincing win by a margin of six wickets. KL Rahul (56 runs off 27 balls) and Virat Kohli (45 runs off 32 balls) stitched a brilliant partnership of 99 runs for their side while chasing a mammoth target of 203 runs. Shreyas Iyer played a match-winning knock of 58 runs off 29 balls studded with five boundaries and three sixes. He was also awarded Man of the Match for his brilliance.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in the 1st T20I of the three-match series. Shoaib Malik played a responsible knock of 58 runs for his side.
