India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma has been in astounding form after being promoted to open the innings in Test cricket. The Mumbai-born batsman smashed two tons and a double in the South Africa series and cemented his position as an opener for the national side. After failing to deliver a strong performance against Bangladesh in the first Test match, Rohit will be aiming to recreate his South Africa series’ heroics in the second Test.

Rohit Sharma and the Indian brigade is currently preparing for the iconic Eden Gardens Test against the ‘Tigers’. India will be playing their first day-night Test match with the pink ball. After clinching the top spot in the World Test Championship, Virat Kohli and Co will be aiming to extend their lead by sweeping Bangladesh in the second Test. Post the Bangladesh series, India are scheduled to lock horns with West Indies at home in T20 Internationals. The three-match T20I series is set to begin on December 6.

However, after hearing the all-rounder’s intentions of defeating India on their home soil, Rohit can be seen leaving Pollard in the middle of nowhere. Regarded as a formidable T20I side, West Indies is expected to give India a run for their money. Despite losing the recently-concluded T20I series against Afghanistan, Kieron Pollard and Co have a bunch of match-winning players in their squad.
