While they won the first match by an innings and 52 runs, they won the second by an innings and 12 runs. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson played a major role in scripting his side’s win. Mahmudullah, one of Bangladesh’s best-known cricketers, also scored a hundred in the first Test in Hamilton though that effort was not enough for the visitors to evade a humiliating loss.
