Shreyas Iyer, the 25-year-old Indian middle-order batsman is having a great time as he has given some extraordinary performances in the recent past. But, COVID-19 outbreak has set him along with his mates away from the game. So, the youngster set up a Question & Answer session with his fans.
The 25-year-old recently returned from the tour of New Zealand. And, he was all set to play for his national team in a three-match ODI series against South Africa. However, the series got abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The youngster had a great outing to New Zealand as he set the stage on fire with his batting in ODI and T20I series. Iyer scored a total of 217 runs in three games with the help of one ton and two half-centuries. In the shorter format also, he managed to pull off some amazing performances for his side.
His back-to-back brilliance has earned him a secured place in Team India. He was also scheduled to lead Delhi Capitals in IPL 2020. But, the tournament got abandoned due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Earlier players like Mitchell McClenaghan and Dean Jones set up a Question & Answer round with the fans. Now, Iyer also joined the bandwagon and gave the opportunity to his curious fans to question him on any topic.
Shreyas Iyer was bombarded with questions on Twitter
The moment, he shared a post regarding Q&A round. His wall was filled with a series of posts. And, one of the fans questioned him on who is his favourite Indian bowler. Iyer’s fan took to his Twitter handle and wrote,”#AskShreyas Who’s your all-time favourite Indian bowler? @ShreyasIyer15.”
Shreyas Iyer soon gave a reply to his fan saying that Zaheer Khan is his all-time-favourite bowler. The Indian cricketer took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “All-time favourite Indian bowler would be … @ImZaheer.”
There is no doubt about the fact that Zaheer Khan is arguably one of the best swing fast bowlers that India has ever produced in its cricketing history. In his illustrious career, the left-arm pacer accounted for a total of 610 wickets across all the formats.
