A determined Gill finished as the man of the series in the unofficial ODI series in India A’s ongoing tour of the West Indies. In the 3rd unofficial Test match, Gill bagged a golden duck in the first essay.
Gill came to bat in a similar situation as they lost two wickets for just 14 runs on the board and soon were 50/4 after taking a narrow 7-run first-innings lead. He stitched on a marathon partnership on the 3rd day with his skipper Hanuma Vihari (118*) to bail India A out of trouble as the duo added 315 runs for the 4th wicket.
