Michael Klinger can be described as the unluckiest Australian player in recent times as he was continuously overlooked by the selectors even after piling tons of runs in domestic cricket. He holds the record of scoring most number of centuries and also most number of runs in T20 cricket before making his international debut.

He retired from the Big Bash League (BBL) earlier this year as its leading run scorer with 1947 runs in 71 matches. He played for the Adelaide Strikers in his early days of the league and eventually shifted his base to the Perth Scorchers team.

The veteran won the league two times with the Perth team and was instrumental in both the victories for his team. Michael Klinger is one of the most respected and loved cricketer in Western Australia and is unarguably the best player of the Big Bash League till now.
