They need to win all their remaining six matches and hope the remaining team’s results go in their way. The New Zealand Internationals Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine have been in and out with form which dented the chances of the Strikers. They will now face the Brisbane Heat in their 10th match of the season in MacKay.
The Brisbane team have peaked slowly and are a couple of wins away from confirming their top four finish. They have won six of the 11 matches they played thus far and are placed third in the points table behind the Sydney Sixers (16 points) and Sydney Thunder (14 points). Their success has been mainly due to the performances of their all-rounders in form of Grace Harris, Sammy-Jo Johnson and Jess Jonassen. Harris even set a record for fastest century in the WBBL off 42 balls.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Sophie Devine has to start as captain given the damage she did with both bat and ball couple of games ago. The Brisbane all-rounders Grace Harris and Jess Jonassen will be perfect options for multipliers. Sophie Devine can be considered as vice-captain.
